The Rabbit 5000 delivers the same proven architecture as our industry-proven Rabbit 4000 microprocessor, along with additional features including hardware DMA, higher clock speeds, more I/O lines, six serial ports, and more instructions to reduce code size and improve processing speed.
The Rabbit 5000 also brings the release of the MiniCore family of microcontroller modules which is Rabbit's smallest & lowest cost embedded solution. It offers designers an easy path to adding reliable control and network connectivity to any system. Using a standard 52-pin mini PCI Express socket, users can design a board once and choose the best connectivity solution for the application.
