The Thunderbird-GM45 "Next Generation" is built around the lastest generation Intel CPU's and chipsets, the Intel® Core™ 2 Duo.. The Mini-ITX board is equipped with the familiar standard interfaces.
The Mini-ITX board utilizes the GM45 chipset, which comes with an integrated graphics controller and uses DVI-I and LVDS for the display connection. The interfaces features 4 x SATA adapters, a Gigabit LAN, and 11 x USB 2.0 host ports. Supports up to 4 GB DDR-RAM.
In addition to the usual standard inferfaces, the Thunderbird-GM45 comes with an Adaptive-IO™ connector, which allows to beef up the basic Mini-ITX board with application specific I/O. Using an Adaptive-IO™ board instead of a garden-variety PCI card guarantees mechanically robust systems. The sturdy connector and the possibility to fix the I/O card with screws to the Mini-ITX board, create solid assemblies. LEMT functionality is available.
