The Cool LiteRunner is an affordable complete PC/104 single board computer. It is powered by an AMD Geode™ GX 466@0.9W Pentium compatible processor running at 333 MHz. This processor is combined with the CS5535 I/O companion chip that has many standard peripherals already integrated. Thus, together with a Super I/O, the Cool LiteRunner resembles a complete PC. The Cool LiteRunner can be expanded using the built-in miniPCI slot. In addition to WLAN cards, LiPPERT offers a line of spezialized miniPCI cards; check our website for available types. Two independent Fast Ethernet controllers are provided for networking, making the Cool LiteRunner the selection of choice for managed bridges and industrial automation. The Cool LiteRunner features an integrated graphics controller that shares its graphics memory with the sytem memory (UMA) . It supports either VGA monitors or digital TFT displays (18 bit parallel or 24 bit LVDS), selectable via jumper or BIOS settings. The Cool LiteRunner has all the standard PC peripherals: There are 4 USB 1.1 ports, IDE, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, and parallel printer. Three serial ports are integrated on-board, too. Two of them can be configured by software for the RS232 or RS485 standards, the third is RS485-only. An integrated GoldCap buffers the real time clock. There are eight freely usable I/O pins for application defined signals available on a flat cable connector. The Cool LiteRunner supports a wide range of storage devices. The ATA-66 compliant EIDE interface allows standard hard disks, CD/DVD drives or similar devices to be connected. A CompactFlash adapter is integrated on board. The Cool LiteRunner is equipped with 128 MByte of RAM; the chips are soldered to the circuit board, providing for enhanced mechanical stability. | |
