 The Thunderbird-NG "Next Generation" from Dominion Electronics is built around the next generation Intel CPUs and chipsets, the Intel Core 2 Duo (Penryn) and the Montevina chipset. This Mini-ITX board is equipped with the familiar standard interfaces.
Additionally, it provides an Adaptive-IO connector. The Adaptive-IO cards, which are available, show the advantages of the concept. One comes with serial and parallel interfaces, PS2 and floppy disk. The other one provides SDVI-D, HD-Audio, and TV-Out, making the combination useful for multi-media applications.
